The event of last night which led to Lionel Messi winning the Fifa Ballon d'or for a record fifth time did not come to many as a surprised as the Barcelona Striker had an incredible 2015. Messi has been beaten by Cristiano Ronaldo in the last two years but was able to edge out the Real Madrid superstar and team-mate Neymar this time around.
